If “We Are Pure Ecstasy” is about the inherent freedom and imaginative playfulness afforded to us by engaging fully with music, dance, and art, its remix renditions illustrate that these pillars of expression are only further bolstered, explored and developed through kinship and collaboration. As the world continues to tilt on its societal axis, it's important to continue exploring avenues that elevate the presence of female-identifying, queer, and all under-represented producers in the electronic music landscape


About the remixers:

Emile Blair Milgrim aka Brom Lee lives and breathes music. Her involvement as founder of the Other Electricities label; co-owner of Sweat Records; International Noise Conference stage curator; and member of various projects including Archival Feedback, and Las Nubes, speaks for itself. Her glitched-out remix of the track brings a goth sensibility for darker-leaning enthusiasts. Since 2017, Coffintexts has released a steady series of euphonious singles that span styles, most recently with a notable solo EP, Green Dream, and collaborative project with INVT and Monstergetdown. Her detailed and sonically-daring club flip grabs you from the start and keeps you moving through a pounding unpredictable pulse.  Winterwrong, who has released tracks via Miami’s queer rave collective Internet Friends, has been making waves since her recent shift to club sound productions. She infuses a spirit of connection and emotion with a hard-hitting yet ethereal techno interpretation. On the “Raver Reimagination Remix,” PHAXAS revisits her original, this time calling upon the euphoric sounds of early rave tracks, commingling them with a pounding breakbeat and vibing, introspective bassline.
